Spiritual Guidance- a message for my followers to assist in your Journey through 2024- Part 1
Before we get into the reading, I’d like to state here that I am and have always been a being of connection. Many on the spiritual path encounter those who wear fancy labels such as ’empaths,’ or ’Masters,’ but rather than give myself a trendy term I chose to call myself exactly what I am- a Spirit Messenger. I don’t consider myself ‘gifted,’ or special any more than a frog is gifted for being able to croak or a bird for being able to sing. I am, and move as I was designed, and intended- as a Spirit Messenger. My purpose and intention is to be of service on a soul level to my brothers and sisters here on Earth. I do not interpret or even translate. I simply receive the message, and give it to the intended recipient. I am always receiving before I give, therefore I am never empty, nor do I become depleted, as I am giving from a source of energy that never tires and is endless, and not from my incarnated, ego self. With that in mind, please read these words with an open heart. Although language has its specific meanings, there is a thread of energy within them that will speak to you in an energetic language that only you will be able to know. Hence, their meaning becomes very intimate and personal. No matter how lost you are, if you have found this page, know that Spirit always knows the way. You only have to listen and trust.
This is a full 7-card reading that will be posted in installments, beginning with this one. At the center for the year 2024, is the medicine of this card.
Pulled from the ‘Medicine Cards’ (by Jamie Sams & David Carson with illustrations by Angela Werneke; St. Martin’s Press New York), this card holds a special place in my heart. Spider medicine is powerful. Grandmother Spider is the weaver of worlds and the web of creation is her medicine. As the first card in this reading, pulled for the center position, the message is speaking to the connections between all of creation. A web has many threads, and within it, you are always connected to the whole of it. Any disruption, or contact with only one thread affects the entire web, and she speaks to us of this as a theme for us to focus on as we walk into 2024. She asks us to see that each of our little worlds are not separate. Each decision we make affects the whole. When the web of our world was created, each thread was created with care and intent. None of them are insignificant. None of them are disposable. All of them are with purpose.
While many metaphysical philosophies and new age concepts teach that ‘self’ is all there is, and that ‘self’ is responsible for reality, it is Grandmother Spider who comes forth to remind us that is incorrect. Just as you would not take a tiny section of a spider web and proclaim it to be a web, nor can you take a drop of water from the ocean and present it as THE ocean, it is deceptive to say that one soul is the entirety of Great Spirit. We are to understand that we are a part of creation and not the whole, though without us, the web would not be whole. This ‘I am all and all is me,’ teaching has been misinterpreted and misused. The human mind cannot comprehend the fullness of the truth, only a part of it. All of us are required to keep the web healthy, connected and whole. Once we say we are separate, we have forgotten the truth. The fullness of our consciousness does not reside here in this form, and the awareness we have here is designed to create the illusion of separateness- hence we are born with an identity (ego self), and once there is self, there is other. This is, once again, part of the design. There is no judgement in this, as it is only an experience- a perspective and not the full truth.
My dear soul brothers and sisters, we are meant to experience separateness, BUT, we are given the amazing gift of choosing to see the connection. It is a choice. When we are shown that our thoughts create reality, it is a distortion of this concept. The human mind is designed to process experience, not to create them. It is your CHOICE that molds your perception, as each decision brings you to a new perspective. Therefore, Grandmother Spider’s wisdom is central to the theme of your choosing in terms of your philosophy and choices going forward, and not just for this year but for all years. What this looks like will be different in each of your earthly lives, and how it plays out will show you that underneath all the trendy terms, mindsets and self-help propaganda, is the truth of what you came here to learn. You see, many think there are two choices: to be caught in the web, or the weaver of the web. There is a third option. You can acknowledge the web as a whole and see the purpose of your place in it, without worry for competition, control and power struggles. You may rest in the knowing that all of creation is in harmony in this third option and you may choose this at any moment. You may also change your mind over and over again.
